P & O Britannia Crashes in Majorca

In stormy weather in Marjorca, P & O Cruises Britannia broke free from its moorings and collided with a freight vessel on Sunday 27 August 2023. No passengers or crew were badly injured but the ship sustained minor damage, including to one of its lifeboats. As the damage to the lifeboat could not be repaired on board, around 320 passengers will disembark and be flown back to the UK to enable the ship to sail in accordance with maritime law.

Britannia is due back in Southampton on Friday 1 September 2023.
