5 Things We Loved About P & O Cruises Arvia

In this blog we will share with you the five things we liked the most about P & O Cruises Arvia, the newest ship in the P & O fleet. We really enjoyed our two week sailing on board Arvia and struggled to pick only five, but here we go…

  1. 6th Street Diner

First we have the 6th Street Diner, which is a brand new dining concept for P & O Cruises, and currently only available on Arvia!

6th Street Diner Seating Area

The 6th Street Diner is an all American inspired diner serving Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner! The all day breakfast menu includes the 'All American Breakfast', 'Buttermilk Pancake Stack', 'Fried Chicken and Waffles'! At lunchtime they serve the Patty Melt, Dirty Fries and much much more! They also serve milkshakes and cocktails!

This was our favourite place for a lazy sea day breakfast, we lost count of how many times we dined here!  What’s even better is that this is a complimentary dining venue!

2. Green & Co

Another Brand new dining concept for P & O cruises, Green & Co takes you on a culinary journey from land to sea, with an entirely plant based menu. You can also enjoy sushi here.

Try the Sweet Potato Pakoras, Cauliflower Popcorn Tempura and Chakalaka Wellington! There is also some fantastic dessert options to enjoy!

The dining menu is supplemented by a range of cocktails exclusive to this venue, including Lavender Haze.

This venue is a speciality dining venue and items are priced a la carte; however it is excellent value for money. It was also super quiet during our sailing and the service was exceptional!

3. High Ropes Course & Mini Golf

Up on Deck 19, you will find the Altitude Sky Walk and Mini Golf!

High Ropes Course

At approx 54 metres above the sea, you can experience the Altitude Skywalk high ropes course. It involves a series of 10 different rope walks, and definitely requires a head for heights!

This activity does cost extra but is suitable for both adults and children who are at least 140cm tall.

There is also this fantastic mini golf course which is free of charge!

4. Retractable Sky Dome

We have previously sailed on Iona which also has a sky dome, but it has a fixed roof. The Skydome on Arvia has a retractable roof, allowing it to be open when the weather allows or closed for those slightly cooler days!

We thought this was the perfect addition to the Sky Dome and made it a truly multi-functional space!

5. Atrium Aerial Show

Another excellent change on Arvia is the location of the Aerial Shows, in the centre of the Atrium rather than to one side! These are ‘pop up’ shows which aren’t listed in the Horizon magazine, but they repeat two or three times each evening they are on.

Taking full advantage of the 3 floor atrium you can watch the show from Deck 6, 7 or 8 - do not miss this show!
