Location

If you are flying from the North Terminal at Gatwick Airport the Premier Inn is in a super convenient location, just a few minutes walk across the road and you are inside the terminal.

If you fly from the South Terminal you will need to catch the airport shuttle (monorail) to the South Terminal but it’s still super convenient. The hotel is also ideally placed if your airline offers twilight check in too.

We arrived at Gatwick via train so needed to use the shuttle to get from the train station at the South Terminal to the North Terminal, the shuttle is really easy to find, totally free and easy to use.

Overall, this hotel is in a great location.

Hotel Room

This hotel has 701 guest rooms with a mix of standard and and premier plus rooms. Our room was a standard double with single sofa bed. The rooms are spacious and perfectly comfortable for a short stay! Although Premier Inn is a budget hotel brand, we find the accommodation very good for the price.

Our room had a tv, phone, desk area, small open wardrobe and dressing area with hairdryer.

The bathroom was simple but clean and contained everything you need. The shower was over the bath and some basic toiletries are provided.

Food and Drink

We booked our stay with the Premier Inn Meal Deal for an additional £26.99pp. This includes a two course evening meal (with drink) and an unlimited buffet breakfast.

We booked a table for our evening meal on arrival and we’re seated as soon as we arrived. The hotel bar and restaurant were busy, but service was still great.

We both opted for a starter and a main course. The selection of included drinks was a little limited but adequate; however, chose to upgrade our drinks for £1-£1.50, totally worth it!

The food is mostly pub style food, and not the most amazing food you will eat. However, the food is hot and tasty and this is a really convenient option.

Breakfast was available from 5:30am for hot options and 3:30am for continental. Again, everything we had was hot and tasty. The perfect start to a long travel day!

Summary

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn Gatwick North Terminal. Although you do pay a little more for the convenient location, if you have an early flight we think it is totally worth it.
